Description
This delightful breakfast wrap combines fluffy eggs, melted cheese, and fresh tomatoes, making it a perfect start to your day. Quick and easy to prepare, it’s ideal for busy mornings or leisurely weekends.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 wheat tortilla wrap
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Chives (finely chopped)
- 4 slices of tomato (thinly sliced)
- 30 g grated cheese (Gouda or Cheddar)
Instructions
- Begin by cracking the eggs into a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of milk, a pinch of salt, pepper, and the finely chopped chives. Whisk the mixture well until homogeneous, about 1-2 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Wait until the oil is hot (it should shimmer slightly), which takes about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly into the pan and let it cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly runny.
- Immediately place the thinly sliced tomato on the still runny egg mixture, ensuring they are evenly distributed.
- Place the tortilla wrap directly on top of the tomatoes and press it down lightly so the egg adheres to it. Let it cook for another 1-2 minutes until the bottom of the wrap is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the wrap with a spatula. The egg should now be set and the tomatoes slightly cooked.
- Sprinkle the already cooked side of the wrap with the grated cheese. Cook the wrap for another 3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bottom is nicely crispy.
- Fold the wrap in half and cut it in two if desired. Serve hot and enjoy immediately!

Keywords: Avoid overcooking the eggs, as they can become tough. Ensure they are still slightly creamy before adding the tortilla. A non-stick pan makes flipping the wrap easier and prevents sticking. Feel free to experiment with ingredient ratios, adding more cheese if you prefer, but ensure the eggs are not overwhelmed.
